Funk Time

Been in a blue funk for the last few months. Lost my kid brother Dec. 23rd to a heart attack. 3 months later the middle brother passed. Been fighting the city on his passing for a few months. Coroner says suicide, but I knew my brother, he was far to in love with himself to do anything like that. I'm calling BS on the coroner and stating the he was murdered by a pro (like himself), and everyone who knew him is in agreement with me. City detectives Beeves and Butthead refuse to return my calls, so now I'm going to set up an appointment with the Police Chief (although, I'll probably get his chief of lip service instead), hopefully sometime next week. There are too many questions the detectives refuse to answer, so I'll try going over their head. And if still no results, News channels 8, 10, and 13.
Had my meeting (with the head detective), got a lot off my chest. Got word today that their now classifying his death as a possible murder.

City bureaucrats recently came thru the apartment complex where I live. Each apartment building has one "permanent" handicap stall, and one or two "temporary" stalls as needed by the tenets. Well, in his/her infinite stupidity, they ordered the removal of all "temporary" stalls, for not meeting "city code". So about fifteen of us, myself included, got shafted by the city. My stall was taken, as explained to me by the apartment manager, because two stalls CAN NOT use the same van accessible ramp. The manager is going to talk to the city on Monday to try and get me an emergency exemption, as I have a pacemaker, and COPD. If that fails, plan B, will be for the manager to talk to the other tenet using the permanent stall (they have a temporary permit, whereas mine is permanent) to surrender it to me (their currently using it, so I won't park there, as I don't want to play musical stalls).
I'm going to find out who this self-righteous fool is, and have a long talk with his/her superiors.
Amendment 1: Per city code there can be only 2% handicap parking in a given area. The complex has 14 buildings with 1 permanent handicap stall each, and about 500 stalls in the complex. So that equals 10 handicap stalls, with 4 overflow, but requirements are 1 per building. I suspect the city code exempts the permanent stalls. I plan to talk to the ADA in Tampa Monday about the situation.
Amendment 2: I kept forgetting to go to the office, until Tuesday. As I entered, the apartment manager told me that they were tired of the back and forth bickering with city hall, (they agree with me on the permanent stalls being exempt) they reinstalled my handicap parking sign. So right now the apartment management, and complex owners are going to fight next time the self righteous little man comes around, and orders my sign removed.

Noctambulism

Noctambulism, a nightwalker, as opposed to, somnambulism, a daywalker.
I began to sleepwalk shortly after returning from Viet-Nam. It only lasted a few months.
Fast-forward 45 years, and I've started up again.
It began small, I hid the dust bin for my roomba. Looked high and low for months, but never found it. Then one morning it was sitting in plain sight on a table I'd looked at at least a thousand times before.
Next I broke the handle to my rug shampooer, then reassembled it. When I grabbed it to use one day, it fell apart. $75, and 3 weeks to fix.
Then I changed the password to my laptop, Another week, and $35 to fix (plus about $1100 for a second laptop).
Now I've gone and done something to a micro-smart card, with about 32 gigs, and 25 plus years of hobby data. The card is not empty (not that I can determine), it just doesn't register on either of my machines. Had the local Guru look at it, but it stumped him. He gave me information on several data recovery companies. I'm checking them out. They range from $150, to $1000 for recovery. The files are very important to me so I'm still reviewing my options. Needless to say, I'm extremely pissed about what happened, and very mad at myself for not setting up a cloud account.
My VA shrink is aware of my sleepwalking problem, but has no solutions to stop.
